We stopped by BEAST Craft BBQ on our way through, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can tell right away this is not just another barbecue spot trying to play the part. On our way to it, Google took on down some old country roads lined with wheat and corn field farms. Then we just pulled up to a little place. And you just knew, this was going to be good. The food was incredible, and the pork steak is every bit as good as people say it is. Tender, packed with flavor, and the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. We also tried the pork belly Brussels sprouts, which ended up being one of those unexpected favorites that everybody at the table loved. Even through their smoky and spices mustard sauce on top. If you are passing through and love real barbecue, this place is absolutely worth the stop.
It's just great BBQ done excellent. It is priceier, but you taste it in the quality and flavor of the food. I've yet to have something from here I didn't like.
BURNT ENDS! These were amazing. Perfectly crusty with the right amount of chew and great flavor. We also had the pulled pork which was also had great smokey flavor and the perfect texture. We had the combo special which was served on tortillas and were a great complement to wrap the meat in with a little sauce. Oh, about the sauces; The Standard and Chainsaw had tons of flavor and I really enjoyed adding a dash of the vinegar based sauce to the pork. Do not miss the bacon mac n' cheese and shoot me but the salad was also cold and perfectly dressed and a great way to complement all the meat. Finally, they recently added a Vegan option, Harvest Shreds as a sandwich and platter. Seasoned, smoked and sauced and hard to tell it is not meat!!!
We came in a group of about a dozen within 40 minutes of closing, the staff took care of us and out of all my group we all left fat and happy. The food was top tier and nobody had any complaints. The portions were all beyond expectations and the flavor and quality were perfect. As a KC native I’ve got to say the St. Louis style bbq really impressed all of us. Thanks for taking care of us so close to close. I’ll always make it a point to come back the next time I end up in this neck of the woods.

This Texan can’t say enough great things about BEAST! We got there late on a Sunday, but we were still able to get the ribs, brisket, and some sides. The meat was tender and flavorful. The sauces were complex and unique. But hands down the best thing on the menu is the chili crisp grilled cabbage! I could eat this for every meal! I tried to pry the secret ingredient out of the chef, but he wouldn’t budge. Alas. Next time we’re in St. Louis, we’ll be back!
Delicious - portion sizes are hearty and they have the patience to bbq slow and slow the right way. Tries to pork steak because my son said it was amazing and I would never order a pork steak - but you regret ordering it ! Will come back and try everything else but I had to see what the dig deal was with the pork steak and I was impressed - does not need any sauce although their sauces are also very good
First visit to BEAST Craft for lunch. Not much on atmosphere but the food was excellent. We enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket meals. Great mac and cheese, cole slaw and baked beans as sides. Busy place today! Highly recommend!
Searched best food places in STL region to pick one for my birthday dinner. About 45 min drive from me and based on the reviews and videos I could find I was like "seems worth the drive.". THIS IS LEGITIMATELY THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD. Porksteak was 🔥🔥🔥. Had fries, mac and cheese, and baked beans. All amazing. They also serve Excel soda. Definitely be my top BBQ recommendation going forward.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute gem for Belleville!I had lunch here with two business partners for a quick working meeting, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. The service was fantastic, and the presentation of the food was top-notch—five stars all day long. As for the barbecue itself, it is completely in a league of its own. It’s easily some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. BEAST is a true standout in Belleville and a must-visit!
